The Kelly Simpson Training Centre is a full service show facility specializing in all around horses. If you are a competitive rider we travel to horse shows throughout the summer months. Whether you are looking to compete at AQHA Shows or club shows we can accommodate your needs.

For our horse show enthusiasts looking for shows close to home the local saddle club North River Riders (www.northriverriders.ca) hosts several horse shows May thru October at the Orillia Fairgrounds. Only 4km from the barn, customers enjoy a relaxed show atmosphere. After the show day we enjoy a swim while we rehash the day.

If you are looking to make a weekend out of showing, the Area 3 Promotional Club (www.area3.ca) offers AQHA shows. These shows offer overnight stabling as the shows are usually 3-4 days in length. Most of our customers prefer to camp on the show grounds, but some enjoy the comforts of a hotel. After each show day we can be found playing cards, going out to dinner or just relaxing. Both of these clubs offer a friendly encouraging atmosphere.

For those customers who want to show even more we also attend a few more OQHA shows in Ontario. Every year we head down to Columbus Ohio for the All American Quarter Horse Congress. For the last 15 years we have had numerous Congress top tens, top fives and finalists. We also have world qualifiers every year.

Everyone has their own personal goals and some of our customers just ride for pleasure. Taking their weekly lessons and maybe trying one or two shows a year. We are not exclusively a show barn.

Showing is not a requirement to be in our program
